The prosecution screwed up in Senator Ted Stevens corruption trial, and the Times article asserts that the prosecutors cut corners in order to cheat and get a high profile conviction. The exact opposite seems likely to me- that a Republican justice department would cheat in hopes of getting caught and eliminating the conviction (which is what happened). Obama's Atty. General Holder replaced the prosecutors when he took over but it was too late.

Am I crazy for thinking this?
