Hair
I am probably going to cut my hair tomorrow. All of it. I'd do it today but I don't want you all to think I'm joking. Anyone with an opinion for or against speak up soon.

There is nothig more liberating than shaving your head, and if you have never done it, I highly recommend it.

Well, I don't plan a shave, just a short hairstyle parted on the side. Planning to keep the beard too.

Hallelujah for the beard. I was starting to really panic.

Have you considered just getting a drastic trim, like 4-5 inches off first before doing the big chop?

Are you going to donate the hair? Its too bad you missed St. Baldrick's for head shaving...

(fwiw I don't think you should chop it all off)

I suggested the drastic trim to clean it up, too. It's his head, but I will miss the hair alot.

your opinion should weigh heavily. I had a friend of mine shave her head and her BF confessed that he didn't want her to and didn't care for the shaved look. She had to do it for her, but it was rough on him.

Oh man. That would, uh, suck a lot. I didn't marry him for his hair, but admittedly, it's part of his sex appeal. (Of course, there's more to that, too.)

yep. I know the feeling. I had a BF cut off his hair once (after we broke up) and all my physical attraction to him went away. Its amazing how much impact one feature has.

I've never really had a significant other chop off all his hair, just grow it out over time. But some exes who had long hair back then have short hair now, although that's different.

No, wait, I just thought of something. I was dating a boy briefly who had a bit of hair (nothing super long but shaggy) who got it chopped rather short (and a bad hair cut too). It did really impact how attracted to him I felt. Suddenly he just looked really... dorky.

Haahahaa--me participating in this looks really shallow. Of course I love, admire, and feel attraction for my husband on many levels, but I can't deny that his hair has sex appeal.

I've done that before of course, it looks a little nicer for a short while but it's still in my way all the time. After about a decade of this hairstyle the novelty has worn off.

Do you know what you look like with short/no hair?

Yeah, I've got pictures from the '90s. I was a little thinner then, and I had my hair dyed blond for a short while just before I started growing it out. Truly though, I am more interested right now in comfort and convenience than aesthetics.

Just cause you're a married man now doesn't mean you should stop caring about what you look like....

:p

Well, it breaks down like this; a shorter hairstyle is easier to care for, so I'll look better by conventional standards. Plus it will make exercising somewhat easier, less hair in my eyes, less shaggy rug overheating my head.

Oh stop! I had hair every bit as long as yours when I was a regular gym-goer (that is, a 6x a week at the gym person). There are ways to have convenience, comfort, AND aesthetics.

Your hair is relatively straight and does not curl into your eyeballs

I keep telling The Boy's mom that I will leave him if he cuts his hair off. She desperately wants him to cut it. I think he looks entirely too silly with short hair.

Well I hope sonbanon doesn't kill me, but I think you'll probably look really good with short hair. :)

I had an ex with long hair which I wanted him to keep (past chin length), but when he finally cut it short, I actually liked it better.

Not sure about the side-part though. How much length does that require? I was imagining a cut so short you wouldn't have a part...

Good luck! Post pix if we don't see you soon. :)
